We can help your community develop a project just like Active Launceston! Contact Lucy Byrne the Senior Project Manager (Regional Development) for more information.
Active Tasmania is a new initiative currently under development. Based on the success of the Active Launceston initiative, Active Tasmania will provide consultancies and a suite of customised resources to improve community health and wellbeing of Tasmanian communities through increased participation in physical activity. Active Tasmania seeks to share the benefits, framework and knowledge gained through the development and management of Active Launceston with other communities through a capacity building process.
"The University of Tasmania is proud to support its valued employees to share their knowledge and expertise with business and communities across the state, nation and the globe.
I recommend Mrs Lucy Byrne, and fully encourage her in her endeavors, to improve health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals and communities, through increasing participation in physical activity. If you engage Lucy’s experience and passion,
I strongly believe you will be happy with the outcomes
for your community"
Professor Janelle Allison, Pro Vice Chancellor (Regional Development),
